Abstract
⺠A novel amphoteric straw-based adsorbent is prepared. ⺠This adsorbent is proven effective in eliminating both cationic and anionic dyes. ⺠The fundamental adsorption behavior of the adsorbent is investigated. ⺠The adsorption mechanism is monolayer chemical adsorption with ion-exchange process.
