Abstract
⺠Bionanowhiskers were extracted from jute by acid hydrolysis for the first time. ⺠These were characterized by different sophisticated analytical techniques. ⺠In FTIR, absence of peak at 1738 cmâ1 indicated removal of hemicellulose. ⺠Rod like morphology (length - 550 ± 100 nm, width - 77 ± 30 nm) was observed.
