Abstract
⺠Sulphated polysaccharide was extracted from brown seaweed of Sargassum plagiophyllum. ⺠Entire thallus having SPs and blade contains more polysaccharides than other parts. ⺠Q-Sepharose fast flow anion-exchange chromatography was used to purify fucoidan. ⺠Fucoidan involved in oxidative stress and mitochondrial damage in Wister rats. ⺠Fucoidan treated HCC rat liver exhibited different pathological appearances.
