Abstract
⺠Novel hydrogels based on Tara gum/acrylic acid were formed by radiation crosslinking. ⺠Absorption of water and urea under load at 37 °C by TG/AAc hydrogels was determined. ⺠Pressure and at 37 °C did not change the swelling up to 6 h in urea solution. ⺠Stress-strain curves were used to calculate the molecular weight between crosslinks. ⺠Tara gum/acrylic acid hydrogels could be used in diaper applications.
