Abstract
⺠Novel PEG (Polyethylene Glycol) and PCL (Polycaprolactam) based Copolymer was synthesized. ⺠Dimethylamino Chalcone was synthesized and embedded in to polymeric biomaterial to produce antibacterial adhesive surfaces. ⺠Recent techniques like Confocal Laser Scanning Electron Microscopy, SEM, SEM EDAX, AFM, NMR and Size exclusion chromatography studies were performed for polymer characterization and bacterial adhesion on to the polymeric surface. ⺠More than 95% bacterial adhesion was found to be reduced. ⺠This can be used as novel biomaterial for catheter and urethral stents
