Abstract
⺠The presence of channels in rice starch granules was studied using CSLM. ⺠There was no evidence of channels in normal and waxy rice starch granules. ⺠FITC-dextran (ave. Mw 4000) could penetrate into rice starch granules. ⺠FITC-dextran (ave. Mw > 10,000) could not penetrate into rice starch granules.
