Abstract
⺠Hemicelluloses isolated from eucalyptus are employed to prepare the temperature responsive hydrogels. ⺠The hydrogels distinctly exhibit a feature of negative temperature sensitivity. ⺠Such property can be adjusted by changing the ratio of the maleated hemicelluloses and NIPAAm. ⺠The LCST of the hydrogels increase with the content of the maleated hemicelluloses. ⺠The HMN hydrogels exhibit a faster water uptake rate than pure PNIPAAm hydrogels.
