Abstract
- Polyacrylamide was grafted onto guar gum in order to increase the function groups capable of binding heavy metals.
- The obtained water soluble copolymer was converted into hydrogel through crosslinking with glutaraldehyde.
- The hydrogel was used successfully in removing hexavalent chromium ion from wastewater and the amount removed reached 588.24Â mg/g.
