Abstract
- Films produces by pellets of thermoplastic starch (starch + glycerol) and extrude them again along with PBAT pellets (M1) or by pellets of starch granules, glycerol and PBAT extruded in single step (M2).
- The method M2 allowed greater interaction between the starch and PBAT.
- Films with more concentration of starch (>50%) can be prepared by method M2 without loss of mechanical properties.
- The method M2 can result in lower production cost to films with high amounts of starch.
