Abstract
- Gluconacetobacter sacchari was investigated for the first time for the production of cellulose.
- The highest BC production, 2.7Â g/L in 96Â h, was obtained using glucose as the carbon source.
- Gluconacetobacter sacchari is a very efficient bacterial cellulose producing strain.
