Abstract
⺠Cyclodextrin grafting onto polyester is possible only in an alkaline environment. ⺠In same bath saponification of polyester occurs in first step followed by grafting. ⺠Sometimes, the saponification degree is greater than the grafting degree. ⺠FTIR, SEM, elemental analyse, washing durability demonstrated the grafting process. ⺠Higroscopicity, air permeability, mechanical properties were modified by grafting.
