Abstract
⺠A four-factor, three-level factorial design was used. ⺠The optimal conditions for extraction of Salvia heteroglycan were obtained. ⺠The corresponding response value predicted for heteroglycan production. ⺠Salvia heteroglycan contained rhamnose, glucose and galactose. ⺠A water and ethanol extract of Salvia could enhance cell viability.
