Abstract
⺠Ultrasound irradiation is examined to enhance cellulose dissolution in [C4mim]Cl. ⺠Increasing ultrasound power and irradiation time will decrease dissolution time. ⺠Most crystalline structure of cellulose is destroyed to amorphous structure. ⺠The remained crystalline structure of cellulose is converted to cellulose II. ⺠Thermal stability of regenerated cellulose decreases and pyrolysis residues increase.
