Abstract
⺠We work with hydrophilic dispersions using hydroxypropylcellulose-methyl methacrylate.> We prepare systems with this hydrophobically modified polymer and a surfactant. ⺠We study rheological properties with different surfactant's concentration. ⺠Systems have similar viscosity curves and a shear-thinning behavior. ⺠These gels are adequate to be base excipients for topical drug administration.
