Abstract
⺠We purified a sulfated polysaccharide from brown seaweed Ecklonia cava. ⺠We investigated anticoagulant activity in vitro and in vivo. ⺠Anticoagulant activity comparable to that of a commercial fucoidan. ⺠The sulfated polysaccharide extended the coagulation time in Wistar rats.
