Abstract
⺠Dialdehyde celluloses and carboxy and Schiff's bases were hydrolyzed by cellulases. ⺠Dialdehyde celluloses showed lower extent of hydrolysis. ⺠Dicarboxy celluloses and dialkylimine cellulose showed higher extent of hydrolysis. ⺠Dioxime cellulose derivative hydrolyzes only up to 16.3%. ⺠Dihydrazone celluloses showed resistance towards enzymatic hydrolysis.
