Abstract
► Diclofenac was incorporated in cross-linked high amylose starch-pectin mixtures by soaking. ► Microparticles properties were evaluated by particle size, rheological, thermal and X-ray diffraction analysis. ► Thermal stability, crystallinity and the strength of structures were influenced by both drug loading and polymer proportion.
