Abstract
The toxicity of arsenite on E. coli was studied by microcalorimetry. ► Glucosamine and the tested chitooligomer decreased the toxicity of arsenite. ► The effect of glucosamine was stronger than that of the chitooligomer. ► Glucosamine and the chitooligomer may be potential assistant antidote for arsenite.
