Abstract
⺠Electrostatic and hydrogen bonding interactions between xanthan gum and cationic cellulose JR400 are firstly confirmed. ⺠Viscosity of xanthan gum/JR400 mixture can be enhanced after mixing. ⺠Average molecular weight of mixture is higher than that of reported oppositely charge polyelectrolyte mixtures.
