Abstract
⺠We examine the yield of nanocrystalline cellulose from the cotton pulp fiber. ⺠Longer time, higher acid concentration and temperature all can promote the reaction. ⺠Sulfuric acid concentration has the greatest impact on the yield of NCC. ⺠Reaction time and temperature have little effect on the yield of NCC. ⺠The stable NCC suspension was successfully prepared with a yield of more than 60%.
