Abstract
⺠Semi-retted and retted flax fibers were scoured and bleached conventionally. ⺠Fibers showed negative zeta-potential at all pH, indicating acidic fiber surface. ⺠Order of surface energy decrease is bleached fiber > scoured fiber > raw fiber.
