Abstract
⺠Extraction of cellulose from agro-waste sugarcane bagasse. ⺠Synthesis of methylcellulose from cellulose with 1.44 degree of substitution. ⺠Porous composite of methylcellulose/poly(vinyl alcohol) blend by freeze drying process. ⺠86% porosity of porous composite was calculated using gravimetric measurement. ⺠Topographical pore distribution of porous composite by image analysis using ImageJ software.
