Abstract
⺠Starch aerogel microspheres were prepared by thermal gelation from emulsions. ⺠No chemical crosslinkers were used to promote gelation. ⺠The process did not use any toxic organic solvent for applications in life science. ⺠Starch aerogel microspheres have high internal surface area and loading capacity. ⺠This material can be used as biocompatible + biodegradable carriers of chemicals.
