Abstract
⺠The structure of a new dextran produced by L. mesenteroides FT045B was determined. ⺠Data revealed very similar structure to that of the commercial dextran B-512F. ⺠The linear chain is composed of d-glucose residues with (97.9%) α-(1,6) linkages. ⺠The structure presents 2.1% α-(1,3) of branch linkages.
