Abstract
⺠We reviewed current reports on the applications of starch derivatives in drug delivery. ⺠We examined various novel drug delivery systems where starch was hitherto not been used. ⺠There is an increasing evidence of starch applicability in nanotechnology. ⺠Safety of nanotechnology in medicine is still under studied. ⺠Starch derivatives hold a major place in nanodrug delivery in future.
