Abstract
⺠SF6 plasma led to water contact angle of 120° on cornstarch films. ⺠Fluoride incorporation is dependent on substrate and self bias. ⺠C-F covalent bonds were formed besides an a-C:H layer upon treatment. ⺠Surface reticulation resembled starch recrystallization.
