Abstract
⺠One water-soluble polysaccharide ASP was extracted from Acanthopanax senticosus. ⺠The physicochemical properties of ASP were confirmed by the chemical and instrumental analysis. ⺠ASP could greatly attenuate the levels of blood glucose and lipids in alloxan-induced diabetic mice. ⺠ASP could improve the body weight and elevate the insulin level in alloxan-induced diabetic mice.
