Evaluation of steam pretreatment on sweet sorghum bagasse for enzymatic hydrolysis and bioethanol production

- Time, temperature, SO2, interaction of time and SO2 markedly affects enzyme hydrolysis.
- Time, temperature, SO2, their interactions have no marked effects on ethanol yield.
- 200 °C, 7.5 min, 2.5% SO2 could be an optimal conditions for ethanol conversion.
- The highest ethanol yield of 15.3 g/100 g Sweet sorghum bagasse could be achieved.
