Abstract
⺠Thermal study of natural and modified hydrogels from plant materials. ⺠Carboxymethylation generally results in higher thermal stability. ⺠Cross-linking of hydrogel from ispaghula husk results in lower water retention. ⺠Cross-linking does not affect thermal stability significantly. ⺠Thermal stability of the materials was comparable with materials like HPMC.
