Abstract
⺠Silicate dispersion of nanocomposites can be disrupted by the addition of a drug. ⺠Component interactions within a nanocomposite system alters the release profile. ⺠Interactions were related to the physical and chemical properties of the drug. ⺠Positively charged drugs can potentially displace modifiers from the clay surface. ⺠Drug release can be promoted if the added drug has repulsive nature with the clay.
