Abstract
⺠We synthesized a series of polymerized ionic liquids with different pendant groups. ⺠Tg of the polyimidazolium cations decreased with the length of ethylene oxide group. ⺠Ionic conductivity increased with the length of ethylene oxide pendant group. ⺠Ethylene oxide pendant group imposed chain flexibility on the polycation molecules.
