Abstract
► Synthesised porous gelatin/zeolite tissue engineering scaffolds by lyophilisation. ► Observed coil to helix transformation of gelatin after formaldehyde crosslinking. ► Pore size was reduced drastically after incorporation of zeolites in gelatin matrix. ► Dynamic compression modulus increased in case of composite scaffolds. ► Glass transition temperature arose for composite scaffolds.
