Abstract
⺠Curcumin is a highly efficient melt and thermo-oxidative stabiliser of polyethylene. ⺠The efficiency is enhanced by addition of a phosphonite secondary antioxidant. ⺠The phenolic OH groups and also the linear linkage participate in the stabilisation.
