Abstract
Two types of polyimides with bulky electron donor moieties such as diphenylamine and triphenylamine in the pendent position were synthesized and their memory properties were investigated. The pendant triphenylamine donor contributed to the induction of large increase in the dihedral angle between the donor and acceptor units at the charge transfer state, resulting in non-volatile FLASH type memory characteristic.
