Abstract
► Microstructural homogenization for medical β type TNTZ after HPT was reported. ► Homogeneous ultrafine elongated β grains have distorted nanostructure subgrains. ► Grains show high dislocation density, subsequently non-equilibrium grain boundaries. ► Greater tensile strength, 0.2 proof stress was achieved but ductility decreased. ► Young's modulus was kept low due to the grain refinement in single β structure.
