Abstract
⺠Metallic calcium used in synthesizing cryptocrystalline or amorphous calcium phosphate powders. ⺠Use of metallic Ca eliminated the need to raise the pH of CaP synthesis solutions by NaOH, KOH or NH4OH. ⺠Metallic Ca performed well in solutions mimicking the blood plasma composition at RT. ⺠The use of metallic Ca eliminates the foreign ions, such as nitrate, ammonium or acetate in solutions.
