Abstract
► New apatite/bioglass composites are proposed and sintered at low temperature. ► The samples' glassy phase is preserved and the apatite decomposition is avoided. ► The rich glassy phase in the samples results in an excellent bioactivity. ► The samples are able to support cell adhesion and proliferation. ► The samples support faster cell proliferation compared to 45S5Bioglass-composites.
