Abstract
⺠Feathers are inexpensive, abundant, renewable and indigenous sources to develop thermoplastics ⺠Simple alkaline hydrolysis and crosslinking with citric acid were used to develop thermoplastic feather films ⺠Thermoplastic feather films have good tensile properties but need crosslinking to be stable at high humidities. ⺠Films developed are biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
