Abstract
► The mechanism of change in side-chain motion in non-crystallized wood was clarified. ► The non-crystallization affects the component interactions and the side-chain motion. ► The interaction is dependent on not crystallinity but the eluviation of the matrix. ► The dynamics of CH2OH in the microfibrils depends on the degree of crystallization. ► The above results were quantitatively discussed on the basis of experimental results.
