Abstract
⺠It was evidenced that the PHBV polymer made the cement more resistant. ⺠Concerning PHB a reduction in its degree of crystallization was verified. ⺠The PHB-containing cements led to larger amounts of residual monomer. ⺠The cement filled with PHBV took up more water than the PHB cement after 60 days. ⺠PHBV cements promoted a more developed and well-organized osteoblastic cell layer.
