Abstract
► The PS/PMMA films showed hydrophilic surface after DBD-treatment. ► The 1:1 PS/PMMA modified film is a new substrate for L929 cell proliferation. ► The 1:1 PS/PMMA blend film showed additional 170 × 103 cells after treatment. ► The proliferation of cells in the blend film triplicated when compared to control. ► Synergistic effect improves cell proliferation in the blend film.
