Abstract
⺠SFCaPCol and VCM-loaded SFCaPCol composite were synthesized by a combination of ultra sonication and freeze-drying. ⺠VCM drug-loaded SFCaPCol composite was used as substrate for the growth of rat osteoblast-like UMR-106 cells. ⺠Controlled release of VCM from the composite is critically medium dependent. ⺠The VCM-loaded SFCaPCol composite is also bioactive by in vitro cell adhesion and proliferation tests.
