Abstract
⺠A novel alginate hydrogel scaffold with SS bond in the linkages was prepared. ⺠This scaffold displayed a specific disintegration property in physiological condition. ⺠Alginate solution concentration and crosslinker types affected the scaffold structure. ⺠After surface modification with chitosan, the strength of the scaffolds was improved.
