Abstract
The role that plastics additives are playing in agricultural applications is varied and growing at a rapid rate. Plastics are used in greenhouses to promote growth and as mulch films to suppress weeds and diseases, as well as in bale wrap films and containers for seedlings. Jennifer Markarian looks at some of the areas where improvements in additive technology are expanding the role of plastics in agriculture.
