Abstract
Anodic oxidation of difluorenes bridged by dimethylsilyl moieties leads to the formation of insoluble electroactive films. Compared to classical polyfluorenes and poly(9,9â²-difluorenes), the polymer bridged through Si(CH3)2 or substituted by Si(CH3)3 units are more stable towards oxidation, their yield of polymerization are higher and the conjugation length deduced by their λmax UV-vis absorption bands under their neutral state are more important.
