Abstract
Novel poly(3-nonylthiophene)/titania hybrid was synthesized from triethoxysilane-containing poly(3-nonythiophene). This material was characterized with gel permeation chromatography (GPC), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The characterization demonstrated that the presence of triethoxysilane groups significantly influence the size of TiO2 formed and its distribution inside the polymer matrix, as well as the PL intensity of the hybrid film.
