Abstract
A new iridium complex was synthesized and demonstrated a saturated red light emission in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The maximum brightness of 2800Â cd/m2 and the external quantum efficiency of 5.5% were achieved in multilayer OLEDs. The peak wavelength of the emission was found to be at 677Â nm with the Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) coordinates of (0.71, 0.27).
