Abstract
We found experimentally core-shell models to describe the decomposition processes of as-received and pre-oxidised TiH2 powders. A shell of the hcp hydrogen solid solution (α) controls the dehydrogenation of as-received TiH2, while a TiO2 rutile shell controls the outgassing from the pre-oxidised powder.
