Abstract
Zinc selenide (ZnSe) micro-grasses and microspheres have been successfully grown on graphene oxide sheets by the hydrothermal method. The morphologies, structures, chemical compositions and optical properties of the as-synthesized graphene oxide (GO)/ZnSe microstructures have been characterized by X-ray power diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) absorption spectroscopy and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. By adjusting the concentration of NaOH and EDTA, needle-like, coral grass-like, orchid-like, and spherical ZnSe microstructures have been synthesized.
