Abstract
Applicational properties of HAp-ZrO2 composite coatings prepared on a titanium alloy substrate using plasma spraying method and analogous HAp coatings are compared. Results of the studies indicate that there is a strong dependence of the phase composition, thickness, porosity and adhesion to the substrate of the obtained coatings on the characteristics of the starting powders used for their preparation.
